Generally, it can be either vertical or horizontal. Both are determined by their height in inches, though horizontal ones are often distinguished in the market by the number of courses or rows per siding panel.

Clapboard Siding

It is similar to traditional wood siding, drawing inspiration from Native American design This siding is referred to as single, double or triple, which pertains to the number of courses for each panel of siding. Dutch Lap Siding
